Out of the surroundings of drugs and alcohol in lower-middle-class dysfunction, the pendulum of Brooke’s life swung to include a pursuit of success that brought with it self-importance, ego, and a misery that ultimately brought her to her knees, crying out for God to do whatever He needed to bring joy back into her life.

From the loving, nurturing grandmother who shared Jesus with Brooke as a child to the prayer-filled friend God sent to her door to read scripture to lift her out of a suicidal depression, the revelation of God’s love expressed through the generosity of others will bring you to tears. Brooke passionately and poignantly shares how God’s perfect timing shaped her life and brought her back into His joy.

In 1999, with her husband and soul mate of twenty four years, Kevin, she co-founded Perception Strategies, Inc., a market research company specializing in Healthcare Mystery Shopping and Customer Service Training. Brooke is the proud mother of two grown sons and one daughter-in-law, Ryan and Anna and Jordan, who is a junior at Indiana University. Brooke and her family are members of East 91st Street Christian Church.
